THE FOUNDER

Miljana Gavrilović, Bachelor of Arts (BA) in English Language and Literature, is the principal founder of the Hi5 online educational platform.

Following her work for a reputable company offering online language courses for all ages, she arrived at the idea to gather a group of competent teachers from various disciplines, enthusiastic about distance learning.

Miljana was born in 1985 in Niš, where she would attend Dositej Obradović Elementary School and Bora Stanković High School. She graduated in English Language and Literature at the Faculty of Philosophy in Niš.

Her teaching career started in private practice, providing tuition in various English language courses in Serbia, and later moving to Khon Kaen, a city in northeastern Thailand, to continue her professional development. In Khon Kaen, she teaches in elementary education and acquires a teaching license issued by the Ministry of Education.

She gains additional experience with the following appointments:

participating in the school’s team for an intensive English language program, and a bilingual program for students in the upper grades,
helping organize and realize English camps and teacher training workshops for Thai teachers,
teaching in a private kindergarten,
teaching in multiple language centers, providing both general and specialized courses, as well as preparatory classes for international examinations.

Miljana’s career to date has taught her the importance of distance learning and of creating a unique online educational platform that would enable everyone, at any time, to acquire new knowledge and ensure continued personal and professional development.

She speaks fluent English and French, and conversational Italian, Spanish, Chinese, and Thai.
She has travelled to over 30 countries, set foot on three continents, bringing back from each journey an idea or two for the modern educational center.

As a multipotentialite, she has a vision of education available to all, free from the restraints of time and space, a vision of being able to learn anything, anytime, anywhere—it only matters with whom.
